Pertamina Drilling Services Profile
With the change of status of Pertamina as a state-owned company, so now in addition assume the role of the PSO (Public Service Obligation), Pertamina is required to make a profit and create value for the state and the stakeholders. Pertamina now therefore be able to manage the entire spectrum of their business effectively and efficiently. One of the policies adopted by sorting segments are business and management in order to focus and responsiveness to business competition.
At first drill Drilling Services is a function within the organization Pertamina Exploration and Production Directorate. Efforts to make Drilling Services as a subsidiary system is old, but have not succeeded because of the emergence of some constraints at the time of implementation.
In response to these conditions, in 1993 there were attempts to change the drill bit to drill function independently. This effort failed because it was rejected by DKPP. In 1996 had tried to manage by YKPP converted (SK.160/C00000/96-S0, dated 16 September 1996), but even this effort failed due to disagreement of loading.
Then in 1999 started again pioneered the management functions of the Business Unit drill into Drill EP (Ref. No. SK Managing Director. Kpts-104/C0000/1999-S0 dated May 29, 1999). It turned out that this step brings positive results (comparison before and after a business unit can be seen in Table 1-1).
Subsequently in 2001, formed a temporary organization by the name of Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PT. PDSI) (SK-Kpts. 91/D00000/2001-S0, dated July 18, 2001). Then in 2002 changed its name again to Drilling Services Directorate. Hulu (Ref. No. SK Managing Director. Kpts-113/C00000/2001-S0, dated October 23, 2001 and Decree No. Director Hulu. Kpts-011/D00000/2002-S0, dated February 26, 2002).
During its development, Drilling Services became a business unit of the Directorate of Hulu until the month of September 2005 and later becoming part of the Directorate of Business Development PT. Pertamina EP. Finally, on July 17, 2006, according to CEO No. SK. Kpts-081/C00000/2006-S0, Drilling Services Directorate organizational structure to be restored to Upstream business unit under the Directorate of Hulu as a preparation for Subsidiaries formed in 2007.
PT. Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PT. PDSI) was established based on Deed No. Marianne Vincentia Hamdani. 13, dated June 13, 2008. Shareholders of PT Pertamina (Persero) at 99% and PT Pertamina Upstream Energy (PT PHE) at 1%. (source)
