Isuzu in Indonesia has been on sale since 1960, the best known product is the Isuzu Bison. On May 3rd, 1974 established the company with the name of PT. Pantja Motor Company. Pantja Commerce along with Rustam Dervish Ir based in Jakarta. On May 6, shares of PT. Pantja Motor 100% belongs to PT. Pantja Commerce.
In 1988 PT. Unitras First buy 68% stake in PT. Pantja Motor and the rest is still owned by PT. Pantja Commerce.
In 1991 PT. Astra International Tbk is the majority owner of PT. Pantja Motor with 75% of the shares purchased by PT. Aryaloka Sentana of PT Unitras First. In the same year Isuzu Panther TBR 52, 2300 cc Direct Injection Diesel launched into the market.
In 1995, diliuncurkan Isuzu Elf, 2800 cc Direct Injection Diesel. In 1996, Isuzu Panther issued TBR 54, 2500 cc Direct Injection Diesel and Isuzu also Borneo, medium truck class. Later that year, the entry of foreign investors in the PT. Pantja Motor Isuzu Motors Ltd and the Itochu Corporation. Finally in 2008, signing of DTS (Deed of Transfer of Shares) held on February 4, 2008 date, the shares are released PT. Arya Kharisma to Isuzu Motors Ltd. as much as 14.88%, so the composition of the stock changed to PT. Arya Kharisma (Astra Int'l) 44.94%, 44.94% Isuzu Motors Ltd and PT. PPI total of 10:12%.
