PT Bank Capital Indonesia, Tbk (hereinafter called “Bank”) formerly PT Bank Credit Lyonnais Indonesia, was established on April 20th 1989 as a joint venture bank between Credit Lyonnais SA, France (“CL”) and PT Bank Internasional Indonesia, Tbk (“BII”). The articles of association were approved by the Ministry of justice and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia dated May 27th 1989 and October 25th, 1989, respectively, and it was published in the State gazette on June 5th , 1990.
The bank obtained its operating license in commercial banking from Ministry of Finance under its Decision Letter No. 119/KMK.013/1989 dated October 25th, 1989.
After having obtained approval from Bank Indonesia under its letter No. 6/2/DpG/DPIP/Rahasia dated March 3rd, 2004, the shares of Credit Lyonnais had been acquired by Mr. Danny Nugroho and it was officially executed at Extra Ordinary general Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) on August 31st, 2004.
The above General Meeting of Shareholders decided that the name of the bank changed from PT Bank Credit Lyonnais Indonesia to PT Bank Capital Indonesia,Tbk. The new name was approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Republic Indonesia under its letter number C-24909 HT.01.04.TH2004 dated September 29th, 2004 and the Governor of Bank Indonesia under its letter number 6/79/KEP.GBI/2004 dated October 19th, 2004 concerning Change of Name of PT Bank Credit Lyonnais Indonesia into PT Bank Capital Indonesia, Tbk.
In line with the change of the majority shareholder of the bank and after getting approval from Bank Indonesia under its letter No. 6/619/DPIP/Prz dated September 22nd, 2004, the address of the bank operational head office has been moving from Suite 2311 Menara Mulia, Jl. Jendral Gatot Subroto Ka. 9-11, Jakarta to Sona Topas Tower (formerly Menara BCD) 16th floor, Jalan Jendral Sudirman Kav. 26, Jakarta.
To improve the level of service to its customers as well to be in line the development of banking products, Bank Capital is constantly exploring new ways and adopting the latest technologies under contract agreement with professional IT provider.
This means demanding the highest level of professionalism from its staff to keep abreast with the changing conditions. Bank Capital offers the full range of financial products which cater to small and medium scale business, covering all sectors of economy.
