Job Summary:
The Advertising Sales Rep will handle a Midwest or Southwest territory, and is responsible for selling print and digital advertisement packages in a broad territory, working in collaboration with an established brand staff. The core responsibility is satisfying the needs of our customer base and acquiring new customers for the growth of our Fire Division. Manages and develops strategic client relationships with media decision makers.
Responsibilities:
- Satisfy the media needs of customers
- Identify and generate new business
- Sell print and web-based advertising solution packages
- Monitor sales progress and performance in relation to established monthly sales objectives
- Prepare periodic reports and analyses for review with management
- Act as a media expert for customers
- Complete all sales orders in OSOM before publication close date
- Travel to industry specific events and conferences.
Essential Qualifications:
- Excellent Interpersonal skills.
- 4+ years media sales experience.
- Demonstrated sales results in Generating new customers
- Demonstrated sales results in Engaging customers in person and online
- Demonstrated sales results in Increasing sales
- Demonstrated sales results in Identifying specific customer needs and proposing custom solutions.
- Working knowledge of web-based advertising solutions such as webinars, podcasts, web banners, and other
- Internet media related concepts.
- Consultative selling competencies
- Ability to travel 30%
- Conformance with tight deadlines to accomplish work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Ability to use computer and navigate internet
- Ability to be self-motivated to reach goals.
- Fire industry experience
- Public speaking ability.
- Passion for the Fire Service.
- Maintaining presence, and appearance that is appropriate to meeting top industry management and high government officials.
