The Device line of business in HUAWEI has products including mobile phones, Mobile Broadband, Convergence Terminal, Fixed Network CPE, and Video Products.
At present we have an exciting career opportunity for an Administrative Assistant at our Canadian headquarter at Markham, ON.
This is a temporary position to start with long term career opportunities. The base salary will be between $12 to $17 per hour to start.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk
Department Administrative Support
- Provides professional and friendly greeting to all guests and incoming calls;
- Answers incoming calls, screen / transfer / forward phone call to the proper department and/or individuals with warm customer service personality;
- Interfaces with delivery services - shipping / receiving; verifies invoice for accuracy
Executive Administrative Support
- Places order for divisional office supply, checks invoices for accuracy, prepares payment request form for approval
- Keeps office / facility in good maintenance status, contacts building management team as properly for any issues related with break room equipment in the office area.
- Assists with preparing and organizing company events
- Coordinates travel arrangements: ie. hotel & flight booking
- Coordinates the filing of expense reports for department staff.
- Helps to apply for accounts for new hires, maintains divisional contact list.
- Arranges / records / coordinates department conference bridge.
- Provides ad-hoc administrative support to team members as needs arise
- Maintains calendar appointments and deadlines
- Keeps meeting minutes as needed.
- May perform other general clerical duties as required.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity with a career goal in business administration
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience in a fast-paced & multicultural corporation an asset
- Superior time management skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task
- A team player with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
- Very organized, detail oriented, and possess ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and multicultural environment
- A proactive, self motivated & self-starting individual with a positive attitude
