Sr. Project Development Engineer - Refining

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a large Greenfield Refinery or combined Refining / Petrochemical complex subject to budget, schedule and quality. Define and execute the Refinery Engineering components of this project through the various phases of basic design, detailed design, construction, commissioning and start-up. Participate in the joint Venture Task force and work closely with other Project Development Engineers to ensure alignment of work across the project. Protect the Company’s interests when interacting with joint venture partners and contractors. Direct and participate in preparing and reviewing engineering design packages. Provide Technical Assurance to the Company’s Senior Management. Provide feedback via reporting and regular meetings on Project development.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputable international institution with significant expertise in design, manufacturing methods and operations of Refinery Units (CDU / VDU, NHT, CCR, DHT, HCU, FCC, H, Plant etc.) and Sulfur recovery plant etc.
• Should have a minimum 15 years of practical and relevant experience in Refinery Plants.
• The Process Engineer will be required to lead the project development activities of refinery in the field of Chemical process engineering covering all aspects from conceptual design, through detailed engineering,
• Thermodynamics, day-to-day activities, and long-term performance improvements.
• Should have the experience in FEED, detailed engineering that includes economic analyses, process simulations, and project related activities in Refinery.
• Should also have the experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning. Have the proficiency in safe design and operations of process units, including familiarity with process safety elements such as MOCs, HAZOPs, P&IDs and behavioral safety.
• The candidate should have a good understanding of international codes, engineering standards/drawings, schematic diagrams, calculations, specification, equipment data sheets, regulations and practices followed in the Refinery Industry.
• The candidate should be excellent in oral and written English, report writing, PC applications and good in using engineering software/SAP.
