Responsibilities:

As a Reservoir Engineer you will provide support for producing fields, with an emphasis on providing input into appraisal, development and reservoir management activities. You will work in cross-discipline teams and your activities may include participation in project reviews. As such you will gain exposure to a wide variety of operating unit activities and projects covering the full E&P business spectrum, from green-field evaluations to complete FDP's. Overall, activities are designed to migrate hydrocarbons through the approval gates and thus provide maturation of reserves for sustained business growth. Some roles are in Operating Units while others are in Technology Centres co-located with specialist R&D and technology implementation groups.

As a Senior Reservoir Engineer you will:

• Execute detailed reservoir engineering activities as part of integrated field studies or as a technical lead, employing decision based workflows.
• Oversee the implementation of approved plans for appraisal and development.
• Help to formulate production policies and optimize reservoir performance.
• Construct reservoir surveillance plans, including the design and implementation of well tests.
• Contribute to special dynamic modelling studies as well as technical and economical evaluations of E&P opportunities.
• Facilitate frequent communication with peers in the area/studies teams, such that opportunities for synergy and transfer of technology are realized.
• Ensure work and results are compliant with Assurance and Shell HSE guidelines.
• Contribute to reserves reporting

As a Reservoir Engineer in a team you will be primarily responsible for the work content and quality of your work.


Requirements:

• You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics or a Physical Science subject, together with at least 4 years' E&P experience as a Reservoir Engineer or similar.
• You will need to be familiar with reservoir modeling, reservoir operations and surveillance, field development planning, and reserves reporting. Experience in constructing reservoir simulation models, well design, artificial lift, geological environments, uncertainty analysis, well testing, fluid properties and EOR would all be useful.
• You will need to be an effective networker, comfortable working in teams.
