Perum Jasatirta is a state owned enterprises in irrigation sectors and water resources. Sustainability of irrigation infrastructure functions determine the successful management of water resources. To achieve these sustainability aspects of the operation and maintenance (O & M) of water resources infrastructure (SDA) is essential to ensure the benefits of water services and protect society from the destructive force of water.
Problems faced by the Government of Indonesia since 30 years ago (until now) in conducting O & M is a lack of funding. This limitation has resulted in decreased function of the SDA because it reduces the age of infrastructure and technical performance of the building. As a result, the water supply capacity to meet the demands of various sectors of users (agriculture, domestic, industrial, and environmental) come down.
To answer the above issues, initiated the establishment of a "business entity" which has the main task of the river and its infrastructure mengeIola SDA has been built, so the water needs for the various sectors can be provided accountable.
Perum Jasatirta 1 has a mission in organizing activities in the field of water resources management and water supply systems and sanitation according to the Government assignment satisfying all stakeholders based on sound principles of corporate and accountable.
Jasa Tirta 1 has a duties to Implement the Water Resource Exploitation (SDA) in the working area, Carry out some tasks and responsibilities in the field of quality management of natural resources and adequate to fulfill the need of many people to social services, welfare, and public safety.
