Currently, the company are looking for young, energetic and dynamic professional candidates to join our team as Lead Geophysicist position and will be placed at Jakarta.


Responsibilities:

• As lead geophysicist in the Jakarta office, provide comprehensive and thorough 2D/3D seismic interpretation studies within the deep-water Andaman III block, Sumatra and Java, or as directed.
• Conduct various detailed geophysical studies to support Little ‘e’ activity, Business Development and Exploitation/ Exploration opportunities.
• Provide interpretation expertise to define fault frameworks, generate prospectivity in a variety of environments and to provide overall geophysical technical guidance for the exploration team.
• Conduct various detailed interpretational studies to support operated, non-operated and new ventures activity, farm-ins, as required, across Indonesia.
• Generate time and depth maps on key stratigraphic horizons as required from 3D and 2D datasets. Perform depth conversation and generate detailed prospect maps.
• Conduct required attribute analysis to support prospectivity assessment.
• Integrate well data and sequence stratigraphic / biostrat analysis for regional and new ventures mapping activities. Develop and assist with play risk maps and play fairway analyses.
• Oversee and contribute to the seismic acquisition planning in Indonesian activities.
• Oversee seismic operations in conjunction with regional teams.
• Assist in the processing and/or reprocessing of seismic data.
• Assist with prospect evaluation, reserve calculation and risk assessment processes.
• Proactively contribute in the EQT processes and management presentations.

Qualification:

• Bachelor Degree in Geophysics or Geology
• Minimum 10 years experience as a hands-on on geophysicist within an exploration environment.
• Proficient with Petrel Geophysics for all interpretation and mapping.
• Strong structural interpretational experience is essential.
• Strong background in prospect generation, risk assessment and reserve calculation.
• Familiarity with a variety of potential reservoirs is essential, including clastics, carbonate and fractured basement.
• Ability to work independently within broad guidelines and carry out special, advanced level studies or projects, developing creative solutions.
• Ability to contribute at a senior level on decision making for technical, operational, and economic impact within the Exploration team and possibly across departments.
• High degree of technical flexibility and capability of interacting with technical staff.
• Input and oversee of budget/capital spending items.
• Good oral and written skills.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and be capable of working in a multicultural environment to mentor and develop staff.
• Is viewed as a very skilled geoscientist within field of discipline, both internally and externally among peers
