Currently, the company are looking for young, energetic and dynamic professional candidates to join our team as Lead Geologist position and will be placed at Jakarta.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake many aspects of petroleum system analysis including interpretation of geochemical survey data, basin modeling and source rock evaluation.
- Conduct sequence analysis and support sequence stratigraphic analysis on regional and block specific projects.
- Conduct various detailed geological studies to support Little ‘e’ activity, Business Development and Exploitation/ Exploration opportunities.
- Conduct all aspects of prospect evaluation and generation, reserve calculation and risk assessment processes.
- Contribute to petrophysical analysis and reservoir description studies. Generate geological/geophysical reservoir maps and correlations.
- Undertake geological investigations including analysis of structural setting, petroleum system geochemistry, analogue field and basin creaming curves, reservoir characteristics, and play risk analysis.
- Conduct evaluations of farm-ins and acquisition opportunities with minimal supervision in Indonesia.
- Proactively contribute in the EQT processes and management presentations.
- Input in overseeing drilling/seismic operations and preparation of final operations and post operational interpretation reports.
- Preparation of drilling programs and operations geology.
- Bachelor Degree in Geology
- Minimum of 10 years geological experience within an exploration environment, including knowledge of sequence stratigraphy, prospect generation and reserve valuations.
- Proficient with Petrel. Ability to interpret seismic data, generate well cross sections and generate structural maps.
- Familiarity with computer based 3D static reservoir modeling and prior experience of building fit for purpose static geological models.
- Experience in well planning and execution (vertical, high-angle, horizontal wells) and operations geology processes.
- Quantification of reservoir risk and uncertainty and integration with volumetric calculations.
- Has prior experience with a variety of reservoirs, including clastics, carbonate and fractured basement.
- Familiarity and awareness with unconventional reservoirs and processes.
- Inputs and oversees budget/capital spending items.
- Good communication skills (oral and written).
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and be capable of working in a multicultural environment to mentor and develop staff.
- Ability to work independently within broad guidelines and carry out special, complex and advanced level studies/projects, developing creative solutions
- Contribute into decision making on technical, operational, and economic impact within group and possibly across departments
- Is viewed as a very skilled geoscientist within field of discipline, both internally and externally among peers
