Roles and Responsibilities:
- The Unified Communications Voice and Mobility Consultants are key enablers for our customers. They oversee delivery of the largest, most complex, and most strategic projects for enterprise customers.
- As such, you will be a technical specialist, required to have a depth of knowledge and experience in one or more Unified Communications technologies such as Lync or OCS and also have associated knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Unified Messaging and PKI. In addition it is expected that you will have knowledge of third party voice gateways and ideally how these integrate with Exchange and PBX’s.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Voice and Data Platforms
- UC Applications
- Knowledge of SS7, GRR303, H.320, H.323 and SIP protocols.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers and firewalls, network bandwidth management.
- VoIP/telephony experitise including knowledge of competitive solutions (ie. Cisco, Avaya/Nortel)
- Strong consulting background and in depth, hands on customer delivery experience with Microsoft Office Communications Server R2 and up to Microsoft Lync
- A Microsoft MCSE certification, or OCS R2 Masters certification is highly desirable
- Analyse the business and IT requirements within client organisations and offer objective suggestions on various matters related to the clients IT environment
- Meeting with clients to determine requirements and define the scope of the project
- Advise on options, costs, risks versus benefits etc. for best practice development of the solution(s)
- Presentation of solutions in written and oral reports
- Develop and implementation agreed solutions
- Preparation of documentation and progress reports to clients
- Involvement in sales and support and, where appropriate, maintain contact with client organisations
- Identify potential clients and build and maintain relationships with clients
- Research and provide information in technical trends
- Excellent interpersonal skills - be amenable, deal with all levels internally and externally
- Passion for delivering innovative, best practice solutions
- Fast learning skills and effective information acquisition strategies.
- Creative visualization, critical thinking, inductive and deductive reasoning.
- Collaborative coordination and time management.
- Capacity to work under pressure while observing high quality standards.

- Ideally a tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Ideally certification in one or more Microsoft Desktop products
- Work experience should involve technical consulting, development, and deployment
- Must have a proven record of delivering business value.
- Role Specific Characteristics May Include
- Candidates must have a deep understanding of markets, customers, and technology; have the background to provide leadership in the practice and a demonstrated effectiveness in consulting and client management.
- Candidates must have deep understanding of customer and partner business and IT environment, and have demonstrated skills creating architecture and deploying technology to solve business problems.
- Candidates must have industry leading depth knowledge of subject area, and have demonstrated analysis and communication skills connecting technology and business problems.
- Candidates must have full project lifecycle experience, from envisioning to deployment and operation.
