Waves, Western Australia’s largest surf retailer is a rapidly expanding business with a Head Office and Warehouse based at Myaree. With 11 stores and a team of over 100 amazing people Waves is one of the most successful retailers of surf, street and skate brands in Western Australia.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a focussed warehouse professional to manage, plan, co-ordinate and control the daily operations of our warehouse to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently. Our warehouse hours are generally 7.00am to 4pm Monday through Friday.

As Warehouse Manager you will assume the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Manage all warehouse employees by coordinating the allocation of resources to achieve a common goal, optimizing site performance whilst promoting and encouraging team spirit and co operation between all operational team members.
• Ensure company standards and procedures are adhered to by all employees, and encourage staff development and training.
• Ensure that Health and Safety policies and procedures are effectively implemented in all areas, managing a safe work environment for all employees.
• You will be responsible for receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and distribution.
• To promote effective and harmonious employee relations through formal and informal communication channels, ensuring appropriate consultation with all employees.
• Operate effective control of the goods-in, picking, packing dispatch and returns functions of the distribution centre, ensuring all company standards are achieved or exceeded in these areas.

To be successful in this position you will:

• Have at least 5 years previous management experience in manufacturing or logistics and distribution
• Be results oriented, a leader by example, analytical, flexible and willing to be hands on
• Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Be computer literate with experience using a computerised stock and inventory control system
• Have a professional work ethic with strong problem solving and time management skills
