British Airways celebrated its 90th anniversary on 25 August 2009. To mark the occasion, the British Airways Heritage website was launched on ba.com.

The British Airways Heritage Collection has existed since the formation of British Airways. It was formed to preserve the records and artefacts of British Airways' predecessor companies BOAC, BEA, BSAA and the pre-war Imperial Airways Limited as well as British Airways Ltd.

The collection comprises an extensive document archive recording the formation, development and operations of these companies and British Airways as well as memorabilia and artefacts.

Over 400 uniforms from the 1930s to the present day are preserved, as well as a large collection of aircraft models.

A historically important library of thousands of photographs is also available as well as probably the most complete set of aviation posters in the UK.

The British Airways Heritage Centre situated within British Airways Waterside Corporate Headquarters is manned by volunteers whose dedication, together with the generosity of donations of artefacts from many staff and former colleagues, has built the collection to what it is today.

The Heritage Centre is open for visitors and we look forward to welcoming you to see our collection. We welcome information, guidance and advice on the collection, particularly first-hand experiences from those who have played some part in our history. (Source: British Airways)

Take time to read through a few of the programmes and research our corporate website at ba.com to make sure you’re choosing a programme that could be right for you.

All applicants must possess the right to live and work in the UK indefinitely without sponsorship from British Airways or be able to provide evidence that you can achieve this independently. We will require proof if you are invited to an assessment day.

Then you’ll need to complete your initial application online. If you’re successful at the application stage, you’ll be invited to take part in further assessment, which will include online and paper based psychometric tests, a telephone interview, a group discussion, a work-related exercise and interview at The Rivers, near Heathrow Airport.

Once assessments have been completed, we’ll make offers for places subject to references, confirmation of qualifications and medical requirements.

Online applications are now open for our 2012 graduate programmes.

We are recruiting for our graduate programmes on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early. Once we have filled our vacancies we will be closing for applications. We may also highlight other opportunities in BA should we feel your application is suitable.

If successful at the online stage, you will be invited to take part in a telephone interview. Following this, you may be invited to a final assessment day. At this final assessment, revalidation of your online tests will take place.

Telephone interviews and assessment days will take place between January – March 2012.

Our Graduate Programmes start on Monday 23rd July 2012. Initially, you will be supporting our partnership with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in locations around London, before beginning your placements with the business in early September.
