Leighton Asia is looking for high-calibre candidates to fill this position in the Design and Build infrastructure project at the outskirt of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation of substation equipment and high voltage switchgear along with the installation of wind turbine transformers and site wide underground cabling
- Manage the design consultant (in Hong Kong) to ensure design meets design intent and that design packages are assembled for their timely submission and approval
- Supervise and coordinate with the electrical contractor during installation and commissioning
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure the installation contractor meets all safety requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience on high voltage switchgear / substation installation
- Prior experience with substation SCADA and controls
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is preferred but not essential
- Wind energy experience is desirable
- Proven ability to work in a high pressure environment and meet deadlines
- Experience in technical coaching with strong communication skills
- Team oriented demean our and integrity
- Able to work transparently and culturally sensitive
