The Role:
The production engineer may be responsible for but not limited to:
- Day to day responsibilities include well surveillance, well integrity, loss verification, performance monitoring and modeling
- Procedural compliance with relevant procedures and processes
- Produce comprehensive justifications to support projects
- Driving production optimisation projects, influencing and motivating a multi disciplined team to successful completion of projects from justification to implementation.
- Monitor & interpret existing well production
- Identify and pursue optimisation opportunities; this can include work related to downhole configuration optimisation, artificial lift selection and surface equipment optimisation
- Work closely with field staff supporting their day-to-day operations as well as being the onshore focal point for well related issues requiring technical support
- Prepare justifications for operating capital and significant expense production projects
- Assess innovative optimisation opportunities and new technologies for implementation
- Work closely with Facilities group to model and optimise existing facilities
- Generate, review and maintain well target forecasts
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
- Must have a strong commitment to safety and promoting safe work practices
- Competent at delivering projects
- Strong computer skills and competency with support software such as OFM, PROSPER, WellView
- Experience in field operations including well intervention work
- Gas well deliquification production experience
