HR Graduate Programme 2012 British Airways

British Airways success lies in our diverse range of people. Whether it be baggage handlers, cabin crew, corporate executives, our Leadership Team, pilots or engineers to name a few. Without their skill, hard work and dedication, we wouldn’t be around today. Our colleagues bring a wealth of different backgrounds, cultures and beliefs across a global team. And it’s our HR people who enable each one of them to be outstanding – they’re a real driver of the business.

As part of HR, your motivation, resilience and focus on colleagues around the business will make you invaluable. What’s more, your clear passion for the HR function and for developing yourself and others will soon mark you out. Over three years, you’ll complete a detailed grounding and foundation to build your HR skills and the opportunity to experience placements in all the areas of this department.

Customers are at the heart of our success, and our strategy is to make decisions based on their needs. Our colleagues in every department and at every level are a critical part of this. You’ll join us as we embed a high performing culture and a range of exciting strategic initiatives. You will be part of the team designing these and supporting their delivery by effectively and consistently leading, managing and developing our people.

An adaptable, personable team player, you’ll be comfortable dealing with complex and often sensitive issues. You’ll also have to understand and operate according to in-depth agreements and regulations. It’s the best way to gain broad experience in this of rewarding, and often challenging, specialist function.

British Airways HR Graduate Programme 2012

As well as your 2:1 degree (or equivalent), you should have a clear motivation for a career in HR. You’ll demonstrate an appetite for working in areas such as People Shared Services, HR Business Partners and our HR Experts teams including Reward, Leadership and Talent, Employee Relations and Organisational Development & Change. You must have the right to live and work in the UK, and you’ll be required to pass a Criminal Record Check at an Enhanced Disclosure level.
