Accounts Executive - General Ledger (1154)

The successful candidate will be a Singaporean / Singapore Permanent Resident / Malaysian.

Job Summary
  • Assist Senior Accounts Executive ensuring the proper running of all activities of General Ledger section.
Key Areas & Responsibilities

  • Month End Closing
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Fixed Assets Register
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Profit & Loss Schedule
  • Frequent Flyer Programme
  • Internal Controls & Efficiency
  • Others
MONTH END CLOSING

  • Assist Senior Accounts Executive – General Ledger in overall month-end closing
  • Preparation of monthly journals
  • Printing of Financial Statements & Cost Centre Reports
BANK RECONCILIATION

  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation
FIXED ASSETS REGISTER

  • Prepare Fixed Assets Register
  • Prepare Renovation Accounts
BALANCE SHEET RECONCILIATION

  • Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
PROFIT & LOSS SCHEDULE

  • Prepare P&L Schedule
  • Prepare 12 column expense analysis
FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAMME

  • Prepare FFP transactions
  • Ensure prompt payment to Head Office
INTERNAL CONTROLS & EFFICIENCY

  • Make recommendations to Supervisor/ Accountant/ Financial Controller to improve efficiency and internal controls
  • Perform tests on internal controls, make & implement recommendations to improve controls
  • Attend regular meeting with Supervisor/ other operating departments to discuss information, policy changes & any shortcomings that may occur within operations
  • Ensure established procedures are always adhered to and immediately correct any deviations
  • Provide reference and functional guidance to staff from other department in respect of work from Accounting point of view
OTHERS

  • Provide support to the Supervisor/ Accountant / Financial Controller
  • Provide support on the activities undertaken by other section
  • Carry out all assignments and instruction directed by Management and/or Accountant
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are observed and followed
  • Maintain proper filing system for easy retrieval of documents
  • Ensure all task lists listed in the monthly’s Controller checklist are performed
  • To take on any other tasks or projects that may be assigned by the management from time to time
