We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to provide services to one of our customers within agreed service delivery time frames
Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient desktop services to Field Staff
- Ensure that Service Level Agreements are met
- Ensure tasks are completed to agreed customer requirements
- Use service delivery processes efficiently, effectively and accurately
- Assist with the development and enhancement of relevant standards, procedures and guidelines.
- Identify and raise service improvement initiatives to management for discussion
- To be centre of Competence for Support of Field Staff
To be successful in this position you need to have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent knowledge of XP and Win7 operating systems
- Sound knowledge of TCP/IP networking (trouble shooting desktop issues)
- Sound experience in problem resolution in a PC/LAN environment
- Experience supporting laptops
- Excellent knowledge of notebook hardware
- Experience in remote support of a range of end user devices (PDAs, Scanners, 3G/4Gmodems, etc.)
- Windows family of Operating Systems, XP to current
- Experience using SMS/CCM for remote control and application deployment to field Windows based notebooks
- Experience using SOTI for remote control and application deployment to Windows based PDA's
- Experience in provisioning of SIMs for mobility devices
- MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Troubleshooting software conflicts
- Sound experience in the use of an incident management tool
- Exposure to the processes of Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management
- 2 years troubleshooting and maintaining notebooks in a Windows environment
- MSP or MSCE or similar industry certification viewed favourably
- ITIL certification an advantage
- Commitment to excellence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent presentation and customer facing skills
- Ability to work autonomously
