Objectives of the Position:
Responsible for creating and evaluating the mechanical design aspects of CASING DRILLING™ tools.

Responsible to:
Director of CASING DRILLING™ Engineering

Internal Relationships:
Engineering, Shop and Field Personnel

External Relationships:
Customers, Vendors

Educational Qualifications
BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)

Principal Tasks:

• Create new product designs for CASING DRILLING™ products.
• Timely and accurate communication of project details between engineering, manufacturing, sales, operations and client.
• Project tracking, expediting and reporting.
• Assist in coordinating with Business Units to ensure changes, proposed enhancements; special requests are technically and financially feasible.
• Produce manufacturing drawings for components and assemblies.
• Perform initial assembly of newly designed products.
• Test and evaluate new product designs.
• Travel requirement: 10%

Specific Expertise:

• Prefer a minimum of fifteen years work experience with oil and gas related service company.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional design and product development teams.
• Design experience in drilling tools, including liner hangers and other DHT.
• 3-D Modeling abilities (SolidWorks preferred) with CFD & FEA experience a plus.
• Computer proficiency, with skills in MS Office applications.
• Field/shop experience would be an asset.
