Function

• In recognition of the critical role communications play in the continued development of this world-class organization, we are looking for a Senior Communications Specialist to develop the external communications strategy for France, including:
• Public Relations
• Media Management
• Corporate & Social Responsibility
• Crisis and Issues Management

The focus will be to assure that divisional and corporate goals and objectives through external communications and media relations across France are met. You will initiate, develop and manage the external communications agenda/program for France including issues and crisis management. Additionally, you will initiate regional events and activities to maximize opportunities and reinforce the leadership of the corporation across key markets. In this role you will also develop speeches, presentations, briefing materials for senior management in France and assure that all external messaging is accurate. You will manage and provide strategic direction to the French PR agency in order to ensure that the FedEx brand is properly represented by media in a cost-effective and financially prudent manner.

• You will be a business and customer focused individual who has clearly demonstrated significant expertise in all related fields gained in a similar position.
• You have strong writing skills as well as excellent oral communication and presentation skills both in French and English.
• Your ability to plan and organize to effectively manage multiple deadlines will be invaluable to your success.
• Your personal effectiveness will come from a combination of excellent communications skills, sound judgement, influence, impact and technical knowledge.
• You will be based at our hub in Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport.
