"PT. Krakatau Engineering" (Formerly PT Krakatau Engineering Corporation) was founded on October 12, 1988 as a wholly owned subsidiary company of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero). Owns and occupies of 3300 square meters in Krakatau Industrial Estate, Cilegon, Province of Banten. This serves as company’s operational center, while the head office is located on the seventh floor of Krakatau Steel Building, Jakarta.
"PT. Krakatau Engineering" serves and conducts either government or private projects in form of "Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)" based contract, Industrial Maintenance and also in consultancy services (Engineering, Study and Project Management).
Since its establishment, "PT. Krakatau Engineering" has been involved in engineering, procurement and construction projects, with special attention given to the expansion and development of Krakatau Steel’s production facilities and infrastructures.
"PT. Krakatau Engineering" also successfully conducts many projects outside Krakatau Steel, either in industrial plant and infrastructures. Such as: Pulp and paper Mill in Jambi, Urea and Ammonia Plant in Aceh, Crude Palm Oil Mill in Riau, Overhead Transmission Line in Cilegon, Sport Center Building in Kuningan – West Java, Raw Water Pipeline in Tonasa, Gresik and Cikampek, Carbon Black Feedstock Facilities in Cilegon, and other projects and clients.
Recognition the global market demand, "PT. Krakatau Engineering" has successfully accredited with quality management system of ISO 9001 : 1994 in 1996 and continuously with ISO 9001 : 2000 in 2003.
